Oily Water Separators - Do It Right Every Time

Getting rid of oily waste and sludge is a big problem at sea.

Price: £165.00

Getting rid of oily waste and sludge is a big problem at sea. All crew members should be aware of the penalties involved if waste water is not handled correctly.

A ship's engine uses a lot of oil, so inevitably oil will leak whilst the engine is running and while the engine is being maintained and cleaned. The oily waste water created in the bilges has to go somewhere and the one place it can't go is over the side!

An Oily Water Separator is a vital piece of equipment - but it can be tricky to use. The IMO says that water has to have less than fifteen parts of oil per million. Only proper maintenance and good tank management will keep the OWS system flowing. There is now huge pressure to get it right and this film can help.

DVD in English, with Spanish, Russian, Chinese, French, Portuguese, and Tagalog subtitles.

Length: 20 minutes.
